As moms and wives, we understand the chaos and stress that often accompanies getting ready for those much-anticipated family photos (#momlife). But fret not, because we are here to rescue you from the drama and make the process a breeze! How it Works: Family Photo Styling
1. Start with a 15-minute Consultation:
We will begin by having a chat about your family's style preferences. This is the time where you will share any photo inspiration or ideas that you already have. We will ask event-specific questions like:
- When are the family photos taking place?
- Who is the photographer? (We can recommend some excellent photographers in the Austin area if you don’t already have one.)
- Will the family photos be taken indoors or outdoors?
- What is the name of the venue?
We will also need to get to know you and your family a little better, and we will ask questions like:
- Do you have any ideas, looks, or photo inspiration that you are going for?
- What are the names, ages, and clothing sizes for your family members?
- Where do you typically shop for yourself?
- Where do you typically shop for your kids?
- Will there be any pets in your family photos?
2. Effortless Outfit Selection:
Within 7-10 days, your stylist will provide you with a cohesive outfit board with shoppable links for each family member, selecting outfits that will make everyone in your family feel comfortable, confident, and totally fabulous. You get three item swaps, just in case you aren’t absolutely loving some of the pieces. We recommend checking your closet before purchasing any of the items that we suggest, but if you don't already have what you are needing, then you can shop the outfit links in the style board we created. If you’re unsure if the current item that you already own will work, just send your stylist a picture of the item via email and they will help be your guide. If you do decide to purchase any of the items that we suggest, we recommend buying them as soon as possible to ensure that the items are still available and in stock.
3. Unforgettable Memories:
By taking care of the styling details, we create an environment where you can simply relax and enjoy precious moments with your loved ones. From candid laughter to heartfelt connections, we will be there for support, ensuring that your family photos become cherished memories for years to come.
Family Photo Outfit Pricing
Family photo outfit pricing starts at $250 for a family of four or less. For every additional family member there is an additional $50 fee. Please contact us at support@lookingglasslifestyle.com if you are looking for a family photo styling session that includes more than 10 people.

- Keep it neutral. By keeping the colors of clothes mostly neutral you will create a natural photo that makes the people pop, not the colors of the clothes.
- Start with YOU!
- Dress your children in things they would typically wear...just step it up a notch.
- The guy of the house gets dressed last.
- Accessorize the children.
- Don’t overthink it.
